Items with a deposit-refund fee

Winparts also sells products with a deposit-refund fee, such as reconditioned car parts. In these products, all components are new, except for the casting, which is reused. Just like in a supermarket, a deposit-refund fee is charged in addition to the purchase price for reused parts. And just like in a supermarket, when you purchase an item with a deposit, we ask you to return the old part to us.

Deposits are an example of "extended producer responsibility": the producer assumes responsibility for the entire life cycle of a product, with particular attention to takeback, recycling, and final processing. This is legally regulated by various environmental laws.

Returning a deposit-refund fee item

Are you returning an item with a deposit-refund fee? Please send the item in its original packaging, if possible. As soon as we have processed the logistics of the return, you will receive the deposit amount back into the account used to pay for the new item.

To help you as quickly as possible, we ask that you register your item for deposit, just like you would for a return, by logging into our website. In the "Customer Comments" section, please indicate under "Deposit" that you wish to return the disassembled part. Thank you for your cooperation!
